Our Ingredient Standards
At HHS, every product is carefully researched, tested and reviewed before it earns a place on our shelves.
We understand that standing in a store aisle or browsing online and trying to decode every ingredient label isn’t realistic, and it shouldn’t have to be.
That’s where we come in. Our goal is to take the guesswork out of reading labels and create a space where shopping for safe, non-toxic products feels simple and not overwhelming.
What We Prioritise
• Made with certified organic or organically grown ingredients wherever possible
• Australian owned or Australian sourced
• Free from known endocrine-disrupting chemicals
• Thoughtfully produced with transparency and integrity
• Cruelty-free and not tested on animals
Every product is reviewed through the lens of ingredient safety, gut health, hormone balance and overall wellbeing.
Ingredients That Do Not Pass HHS Standards
There are certain ingredients we immediately look for and will not stock at Her Holistic Store.
Such as:
• Synthetic fragrance or parfum
• Parabens (methylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben)
• Phthalates
• Aluminium chlorohydrate
• Triclosan
• SLS and SLES
• Formaldehyde-releasing preservatives
• Oxybenzone and similar chemical sunscreen filters
• Chlorine bleaching by-products
Beyond the Ingredient List
We also consider:
• Brand transparency and ethos
• Sourcing and manufacturing practices
• Environmental responsibility
• Commitment to education and integrity
We value full transparency. If ingredient information isn’t openly provided, the product simply won’t be the right fit for our store.
Our Ongoing Commitment to You
Research evolves. Ingredient standards evolve. The wellness industry evolves.
We promise to continue educating ourselves, staying up to date with emerging research and monitoring ingredient standards so we can offer you the very best in non-toxic products.
We remain committed to our ethos, to transparency, and to never compromising on the standards we’ve set. Your health is our priority, and we will always place that first when considering the products we stock and the education we share.
